#Civilization 6 multiplayer allies Ps4#
But I'm not just a blabbering idiot with no foundation either.ītw GhengisFarb, I've always liked some of your Civ3 graphics. It’s been over a decade since Sid Meier’s Civilization has graced a PlayStation console, so it is my extreme pleasure to share that the critically acclaimed turn-based strategy series is coming to PS4 this fall! Its possible I don't know what I'm talking about, since I don't have it, and I'll bow to actual experience. Finding games was hard enough even without it! Online the impression I've gotten is that Iron Blitz was a failed expansion with many cool options but too many bugs, even compared to normal A&A. So overall its an impression I've gotten, which is why I said what I said: I wouldn't recommend Iron Blitz, at least for multiplayer (I don't know a thing about it for single player). So I guess all I can say is I've seen comments like that. I wish I could give more quotes, but searching the boards for Iron Blitz doesn't turn up much because it just isn't talked about much. Like I said, the thread wasn't mostly about Iron Blitz anyway. (The rest of the thread isn't about Iron Blitz, its about IRON_CROSS's tripleA crusade I'm just giving the source.)Įdit- I can't seem to get link to work correctly, sorry. Most of all, its message board comments like this one from the BOP general discussion board: Even for variant play, its strength, Iron Blitz seems to be avoided. People who are very very into A&A don't consider Iron Blitz standard (as opposed to most online games, where the expansion pack becomes the standard, sometimes only, way to play).Įven when they want a change from the normal rules, they generally do variants on the normal A&A game.

Iron Blitz can only be played on the Navy and Juno databases. It just doesn't seem to be played online.Īll the major league databases are normal A&A only. In the normal A&A rooms, I only rarely saw someone looking for an Iron Blitz game. Five people would be a crowd for that room. The game room for Iron Blitz play was ALWAYS nearly empty. Its mostly an impression I've gotten from years of watching the A&A scene. "Who I heard that from" is basically the online playing community.

So I wasn't going to respond to UR's post because I figured an opposing viewpoint was cool. I could help out with that better than technical stuff.Īlright, I have no personal experience with Iron Blitz. On a non-technical issue, strategy wise they have the game worked out like clockwork! My game improved hugely when exposed to online multiplayer. But I'm sure they can help you besides they need new people. Just ask nicely IMHO the climate there is not super friendly and is heavily politicized and suspicious. If you ask for help on thier message boards, you can probably get it they are very into the game and know all the technical stuff better than I do. I'm not positive about that though.Īnyway, if you're interested, two major online clubs for A&A are found at: I've heard rumors there will be a new computer game version of Axis&Allies made, so you might want to just wait for that. Lack of support and a recent confirmed dice hack have been hurting the multiplayer scene.
#Civilization 6 multiplayer allies Patch#
The current (and final) patch version is 1.3.3. If that is an obstacle for you, I've heard some people partition their hard drive somehow and are able to startup with an older DirectX running when they want to play A&A.Īxis&Allies is pretty old, and is no longer supported. I think the major problem is that it doesn't work with the latest version of DirectX version 8 I think.
I haven't played Axis&Allies for a long time, but I used to know a bit about it.
